Tips
- Book weekends. The East Bay and Queen Street dining rooms fill up on Saturday and Sunday, especially in spring and on holiday weekends.
- Parking. Downtown on-street parking is metered. The city lists its garages on its where to park page; more on our getting around guide.
- Holidays. Easter, Mother’s Day and Father’s Day menus are posted by restaurants a few weeks ahead and often need a reservation. See our Easter, Mother’s Day and Father’s Day pages.
- Saturday markets. The Charleston Farmers Market in Marion Square runs Saturday mornings from April to November, with food vendors; details on our farmers markets page.
