What the festival is
Charleston Wine + Food is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that says its festival supports the area’s restaurants, bars and drinks businesses. It celebrated its 20th anniversary in 2025, and the organizer counts 477,568 festival attendees over its lifetime and $232.7 million in economic impact on its home page.
Events are spread across the region. The organizer says it has held them on the peninsula and in North Charleston, West Ashley, Mount Pleasant, Johns Island, Kiawah, Sullivan’s Island, Isle of Palms and Dorchester and Berkeley counties. Each event is ticketed on its own; check the event schedule for times and places.
Culinary Village: times and prices
The Culinary Village is the festival’s largest tasting event: food from local chefs and caterers, wine, beer, spirits and nonalcoholic drinks, chef demos, a demo stage, live music and a market of regional makers. All samples are included in the ticket. The prices below are from the organizer’s Friday, Saturday and Sunday event pages and include fees.
| Ticket | Hours (each day) | Price |
|---|---|---|
| General admission | 2 to 5:30 p.m. | $199.15 |
| General Admission Plus | 1 to 5:30 p.m. (one hour early) | $250.65 |
| VIP | 1 to 5:30 p.m. | $343.35 |
The organizer also sells a six-ticket general admission group deal for $999.20. VIP and General Admission Plus tickets are limited.
The festival says many events sell out within days of tickets going on sale, and most sell out before the festival. Sold-out events have a waitlist on their event page. Payment plans are available on orders of $100 or more.
Parking, rideshare and getting there
The organizer recommends rideshare for all events and asks guests not to drink and drive. For the Culinary Village, its FAQ says:
- Rideshare drop-off and pickup: at the roundabout in front of The Altman Center, reached from Fishburn Street; or at the corner of Hagood Avenue and Congress Street, in front of Bastin Hall, reached from Moultrie Street.
- Coming from the northeast: take the Crosstown to Ashley Avenue, then Moultrie Street.
- Parking: limited, in the two lots beside and across from the stadium. The organizer says traffic should flow “from 17A/B along Lockwood Ave.” to reach them. Follow police and parking attendants.
- Accessible parking: available at the Culinary Village, with on-site transportation from the lot to the main entrance, first come, first served.
