The overall rating is built from indicators such as academic achievement, preparing for success, student progress, English learners’ progress and school climate, with graduation rate and college and career readiness added for high schools.

In the district’s zone layers, the Sanders-Clyde zone feeds Simmons-Pinckney Middle and Burke High.
Change for 2026-27: part of the peninsula that the 2025-26 layers assign to James Simons Montessori and Mitchell Elementary is assigned to James Simons and Sanders-Clyde in the 2026-27 layers. Mitchell no longer appears in the district’s school directory or 2026-27 bell schedule, and Simmons-Pinckney Middle now gives Mitchell’s former address, 2 Perry St., as its own.
We did not find a published feeder list on the district’s site, so these pairings come from the district’s own zone layers, for 2025-26 and 2026-27; where a zone is split, the street address decides.
